Opening Ceremony

1. Water Rocket Training Session

2. Academic and Cultural Program
HMPS&C, Karimabad Hunza.

The training session will be conducted in the Multipurpose Hall of HMPS&C. Academic and Cultural Program will be observed in the play ground of HMPS&C

Formal ceremony will be inaugurated with local music and balloon show

Water Rocket Training Session will be conducted for science teachers and representative student group of various schools. Fifty schools from across Gilgit Baltistan will participate in the training. Two students from grade 9th and 10th along with Physics Teacher from each school will participate. Around 150 teachers and students will be part of training session.

The resource persons for the training will be scientists of SUPARCO together with previously trained science teachers of HMPS&C.

The target audiences are teachers and students. However, general public will also be participating in the opening ceremony that will help develop awareness about the objectives set for WSW celebration Around 3000(Three Thousand) people will be witnessing the ceremony. .

Science Olympiad

1) Olympiad will be arranged for physics, chemistry and mathematics. 2) Poetry Competition

It will be observed on the roof of HMPS&C building at night
Students, of grade 9th and 10th, from 50 schools from across Gilgit Baltistan will be invited to participate in the Olympiad. Two students from each grade will be invited to participate. Students of different schools will be grouped. It will help students to experience the dynamics of group work. Having being the part of a group of students of different groups will itself be a healthy activity. Poetry Competition will be arranged on themes related to science and cosmos.
SUPARCO Documentary For General Public Organized at HMPS&C Play Ground on a Mega Screen at night For providing awareness to General Public about the developments made by Pakistan in Space Technology. Around 2000(two thousand) people will be watching the documentary

1. Water Rocket Launching and Speech Competition
2. Art Competition
In the premises of Hasegawa Memorial Public School & College (HMPS&C) Play Ground.
Around 40 schools will be attending the program. The topic for speech will be decided by SUPARCO.

Students will be having a competition on a theme related to science and human civilization.

Around 3000 people will be witnessing the program

Grand Celebration

Space walk

1500-2000 Students, teachers, civil society organizations, general public and stake holders from various fields of life are expected to participate in the Space walk.


Space Walk will be performed from HMPS&C Premises to Karimabad Zero-Point in the Morning.
Public from across G.B will be invited through advertisement on local channels and announcement of circulars on Jamat Khanas, Imambargas and Mosques.

Students, teachers, stakeholders from Govt. Administration , NGO heads and general public will be participating in Space Walk and Around 2000 people will be participating

Variety of cultural items will be presenting by students and artists. Around ten to fifteen thousand people will be attending the programme.


Space Exhibition

Students from various schools will develop their indigenous models related to science and technology

Karimabad Polo Ground




Mega Festivity will be celebrated in Karimabad Polo Ground immediately after Space Walk

Academic & Cultural Show

A formal programme will be held; where in, variety of cultural items will be presented in the programme. Art Competition (Related to Space Science), Poetry Competition (Related to Space Science) and Water Rocket Launching Ceremony will be conducted together with other attractive academic and cultural programs.
