Introduction

SUPARCO is using Satellite Remote Sensing (SRS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for gathering of crop statistics on country wide basis. This system not only provides temporal and synoptic view of the cropped area but also provides quick and precise crop statistics. In this context, SUPARCO is issuing monthly bulletin to provide an account of the activities of SUPARCO in the field of monitoring of crops through use of SRS/GIS technology.
